Bio: Hantei was the last in a long line of steel mill workers. It was the family business. Despite his fathers fascination with the way of the ninja his grandfather wouldn't let him partake in any of the academy classes. They were steel workers, that was what they did and that was what they were good at. A ninja in their ranks would bring shame to the family. It was a backwards way of thinking in a country that held their Nin in high regard, some even the equivalent of Kings and Queens. Hantei was a bit to young to work in the mill so his dad would allow him to stand outside of the ninja academy's window and eavesdrop on various classes. Well it wasn't so much, letting him as it was making him ease drop on the classes. Hantei wanted to vicariously live through his son. He figured if Hantei could "randomly" show ninja skills then maybe his family wouldn't frown on him joining the academy, because it would then be what HE was meant to do.

While pushing Hantei into the life of ninja his father never stopped to see if it was what Hantei wanted for himself. It wasn't. Hantei loved the life of steel mill worker. Many nights after his day of eavesdropping Hantei would head to the factory and sneak in after all of the workers had left for the night. While in there he'd take part in what the family called "grunt work." Grunt work entailed sifting through the various drums of impurities, ensuring that they only had the finest minerals to craft their metals. In addition to the he'd also re-arrange the steel beams often making large towers just to irritate the foreman the following morning. What most of the workers found to be long tedious work Hantei viewed as fun an very fulfilling. But due to his fathers wishes he could never be seen doing the work or let anyone know what he'd been doing. Despite his best efforts to keep his actions a secret there was something that he couldn't hide and that was the change in his body. Kids his age didn't spend their spare time hauling around 20foot steel beams. His father attributed it to his constant hanging around the ninja academy and "residual chakra." Not having ever been a ninja Hantei's father had no idea how chakra worked and assumed it was like standing near somebody who was smoking weed and you'd get a contact high. Although his dads thoughts were completely wrong Hantei saw no need inform his father that chakra didn't work that way. After all him thinking that would prevent him from coming to another conclusion as to how he developed the body of a mini body builder.

Unbeknown to Hantei his chakra had played a major part in his speedy development. Hanging outside of the classrooms he subconsciously picked up on the methods needed to control his chakra and as a result he was able to move steel beams that often required four grown men to move, and even then it was a strain. But since Hantei did all his work after hours he never knew how special he was. That was until one day when sifting through the various mineral piles Hantei noticed that a few stray grains seemed to be hovering as he waved his hand over them. The more he focused the more of them he could move. Before to long he was in the center of a funnel cloud of minerals trying his best to separate them without using any of the tools. The next day for the first time he was actually happy to sit outside the window of the academy as the classes too place. This time he listened intently trying to pick up everything he could about chakra control. From that point on he'd go to school in the mornings and to the mill in the evening to apply the day's lesson. As time passed his physique grew, but more importantly his ability to control his chakra and the various forms of metal grew. Life was good.

Then one fateful day when Hantei was coming home from a long day of eavesdropping he notice a smoke cloud in the distance. On the air he could there was a familiar smell, and he immediately made a mad dash towards the mill. It was a smell that was usually isolated to the mills furnace, but this time it filled the air of the village. Hantei only hopped that everyone was ok, but in the pit of his stomach he knew they weren't. As soon as he caught a glimpse of the smoke cloud in the distance he knew the life he had grown accustom to was over. When he arrived he found the mill in ruins beneath a white hot flame. Through the flame he could see three figures staring back at him. Hantei called out to them but as he took a step forward to approach them they vanished into the forest. He wondered who they were, if they were the ones who caused this to happen, or if they were just figments of his imagination. As his world burned down around him Hantei did the only thing he could think of and that was to try and salvage what he could of the mill. Using what skills he had he pulled as much of the melted steel from the flames. As tears ran like waterfalls down his cheeks he dropped the hot liquid into a nearby storage drum.

"So the attacks have started.." a man said running up behind Hatei as he closed the drum. The gentleman was accompanied by a group of Nin with hoses and buckets of water. Like a well oiled machine the group of Nin worked together to douse the flames. As Hantei watched in amazement he felt himself being pulled by the wrist, a Jounin was trying to drag him away from the scene. From the look on the ninja's face Hantei could tell that he was shocked that he could easily pulled him away from the scene, it was almost like he was stuck to the ground. "Son, this is a place for children please come with me." he Jounin said finally asking Hantei to come along. With no resistance Hantei turned to leave. Stopping mid stride he turned around and ran back over to the drum. Grabbing a nearby rope he wrapped it around the drum and slung the rope over his shoulder picking the drum, carrying it on his back. The Jounin just watched in amazement and then nodded to Hantei and guided him away from the fire towards the heart of the village.
