THE PROCTERS PLACE A PIECE OF PAPER WITH INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT THE TASK AT HAND IN THE FOREST AND SCROLL INSIDE OF EACH OF THE NINJA'S EQUIPMENT, BEFORE LETTING THEM ENTER THE IMMENSE FOREST.

Lenny's heavy footfalls were the first on scene. The oversized genin came barrelling out of the gate, padding through the dead leaves with tiny crunches. The sun fought its way through the trees in patches, leaving bright little puzzle piece spots on the forest floor. Lenny reached into his apron pocket and pulled out a little pouch. "Earth Scroll..." It was almost cosmic. He set the scroll back into his apron and bellowed, "Earth Armor Jutsu!" A thick trail of the top soil snaked out of the dead leaves, wrapping around more and more of his body as each foot connected with ground. He stopped behind a tree and the soil took its chance to finish its chore,wrapping over the apron and under his gear. His scroll was sealed safely away in the dirt and he was, save the bag of bombs and the pack of kunai on his belt, invisible against the forest floor. He took a minute to scold himself. He had broken his nindo to get a head start. "Big men don't run."
Lenny took the distance he had put between him and his "opponents." "Earth Clone Jutsu!" Six identical fellows popped out of the loose dirt and started burrying, hiding, sticking, tieing half of Lenny's grand stack of explosive tags to every piece of loose bark, every rock, and under the leafy floor of the forest. The handsome devils crumpled into the dirt, leaving Lenny alone in his armor to find his opponents.

Ryu walked through the gate somewhat looking slightly aged and fatuiged. Luckily he had only looked that way due to constant training and missions. Even so his left hand was wrapped in bandages all the way up to his elbow. He opened and closed it over and over to check how it moved. Also to see if there was any pain from the injury. When it seemed like the burn was ok and wouldnt hinder his movement he continued to walk toward from time to time passing where the sunlight cracked in between the trees. He had to squint at one point as the sudden shine of the light at one time caught him by suprise. He stopped short of the center and looked at a distant tree. Before he could do anything Ryu took out a kunai and began to weight it. As if it was his first time ever using it, he jumped up onto a larger branch and pulled out his sword. He cut it short almost the entire way, he then pulled out some wire and tied it to another branch he did the same thing too. In the center was alot of tension that once tripped the branches would be pulled towards the one who tripped it. The he connected the wire to another set that ran along the trunk of the tree. Underneath then were 3 tag bombs. He did the same thing to a second tree. He continued to walk knowing that there would be others gunning for him. As he walked something began to smell funny, like burning leaves. He looked down and saw smoke coming from the leaves and jumped into the air right before it exploded. He swung around and landed on the branch when it exploded from under him sending to the ground. He rolled away when a third one went off feeling the heat synge his cloths off. He stood up and was faced with one hanging from a tree. He pulled out a kunai and threw it at the bomb and it swung away as soon as it exploded. The main blast was thrown in a different direction but the force sent him into a tree. He stood up and leaned against the tree holding his arm in pain. He looked down and saw some shrapnel in his arm from the kunai. He had picked about all out and his arm was still bleeding. "Screw this it's like every move I make takes me into another trap. Katon: Gōkakyu no Jutsu". The fire ball went down straight through the clrearing. Ryu's eyes grew big as the entire area basically went up in a ball of fire. "Holy shit who carries that many bombs with them". Ryu pulled out the bandages he had and wrapped his other arm in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Now feeling like the clearing was safe he continued to walk down the clearing trying notice every thing.

Boom! A lone bird twisted up into the air and flew off, assisted by the hot air under his wings. Lenny immediatly ducked behind the nearest tree, which, in turn, barely hid his width. He was just about to step out when a fireball wizzed by his head, followed by an inferno of paper bombs. His paperbombs.The little area of forest was now entirely made of ash, ember, and charred tree. The two nin had already changed the landscape phenominally before they had even started fighting. Lenny's armor siddled off under the explosion. Ryusaki bandaged his arm and started getting ever nearer to Lenny, who, in turn, took the time to throw a smoke bomb 5, maybe 10 feet from his opponent. Lenny rolled in to his fabricated cover, the heavy smoke mixing with the the sizzling ground. In his place, two Lenny's rushed out, smoke following them for just a second before the ducked into the trees and circled around behind Ryusaki, both coming from behind.

(Ooc: One is made of stone... felt like i should explain that to avoid confusion)

Ryu tightned the bandage on his arm and began to walk along the path he just created. Only a few seconds ago it was a lush green forest where the sunlight barley got through to the forest floor. Now it was a open area where the dirt was burning. the trees which hadnt gone up in bombs were burning and falling to the ground fanning the flames. Ryu continued to walk half of the trees were still burning. He passed a few lingering tag bombs which exploded causeing him to duck to avoid the explosion. Luckily not all of the few remaining bombs went off so close to him. Still every now and then a burning branch would fall in front of him. Ryu continued to walk when smoke suddenly appeared in front of him. Then two clones of emerged from the smoke, they rolled around the trees and tried to come at him from behind. Ryu took out a kunai and charged after the clones. Ryu figured that one was his real opponent and the other was just an illusion. As he clashed with the clones, Ryu began to fight both at the same time. At one point he was kicked in the stomach, Ryu now believed that he had found the real opponent. He threw a kunai at who he thought was the real Lenny which turned out to be the stone clone. Ryu was shocked when the kunai just bounced off the clone. Ryu rolled off to the side to avoid a kick which left a dent in the tree. Ryu backflipped onto his feet just as one punched the ground. He punched it in the face and pulled his hand back in pain. Ryu jumped back "Katon: Gōkakyu no Jutsu". The fire ball was so close that it caught both clones in the blast, as well as two of Ryu's fingers. As he saw things settle down Ryu cursed as he saw one of the clones still standing. Still partially on fire in chased after him and puched him synging his cheek and knocking him back. Ryu stood up and pulled the short sword from his thigh. He threw the short sword and saw it once again just bounce off. He came at him again and Ryu put a tag bomb and wrapped it around a kunai. He moved back and the clone ran after him. Ryu waited and threw the kunai he had waited so as soon as it bounced off it exploded crumpling it. Ryu looked at his fingers and felt his face which still stung. Once again he just wrapped his fingers and continued on. This time keeping a kunai in his hand, Ryu got to where the clones first appeared he picked up his sword and continued to walk. Stopping every now and then waiting for a charr'd branch to fall in front of him.

Lenny sat behind the remains of what was, at one point, a beautiful tree. Now it was a burnt stump. His eyes closed, his legs crossed, and his hands fell into whatever place they felt like. He couldn't help but shudder ever so slightly as a particularly large explosion sounded, its vibrations, as well as a blurry little fizzle of rocks tumbling to the ground, made their way to Lenny's hiding spot, and he knew his favoritest little clone was gone. Footsteps. To Lenny, even as a genin, they told alot. They told how big someone was, how many people were there, and, the thing that Lenny was most worried about, the normal, repititious patter of feet. "A little more..."
Smoke errupted from Lenny's tree, then from another tree, then from another. He was using the same trick, but this time with a little surprise. From the time Ryusaki started walking again, Lenny started preparing. The heavy smoke sat still with Lenny still in the same spot. "Earth Clones..." This time, a much more massive movement of dirt occured, all under the veil of five of Lenny's smokebombs. Still, he couldn't help but wish the dirt was a little more discreet. The sound of churning dirt would give away his position for sure. At least, it didnt matter now. Lenny reached deep into his pockets and pulled out a few grenado, black pots full of black powder and anything else that made their inconvenient size worth it. Each one was, if nothing else, excessive force compared to the paperbombs, and Lenny had four. Ten clones came out, four of which formed around Lenny's hand for a moment before joining their brethren. It all took a few seconds, but it was an idea Lenny had been tossing around forever. Shrapnel Clones. The smoke cleared and Lenny remained in the cover of his tree as the area around Ryusaki filled with clones. They were mostly ash, a little bit of topsoil, any crumbly dirt that would produce a pitiful excuse for a clone. Their consistancy was just attrocious, they were nothing but numbers, and to top it off, Lenny was sure that a few of them were missing fingers. Only a few of them had visible weapons, maybe three kunai tops. But the real prize was inside, four of them had a slightly less goey center, one with pointy little rocks and an explosive middle. "Attack from all sides at the same time. Go for the legs." If the main event wasnt enough, the sharp rocks it launched would surely be. Lenny hated the idea of seriously maming someone when all he wanted was a piece of paper with the word "Heaven" on it. Still, discretion didn't fit into bombing. He would wait until the fight was well underway to join in himself.

Ryu once again found himself in the cover of smoke. Ryu stopped moving and closed his eyes, he was trying to know where anyone was if this was a diversion like the last smoke bombs. As he thought this he noticed it was a stupidquestion for the simple fact was that diversions were there purpose. His throat beagn to sting as he remained inhaling the smoke causing him to begin coughing. As the smoke cleared Ryu curseed his mistake afraid of an attack while he wasnt exactly paying attention. As he began to stop coughing and was able to open his eyes he looked around completly caught off guard. Around him were ten clones all looking like they were ready to attack. Ryu took out both the sword and short sword. He could feel his eyes change as he stared down the clones. Then while looking at them he noticed his previous ideas were wrong. Ryu had originally beleived that some were illusion clones and the other were dirt clones like his last encounter. Now he could see he was wrong, there were all clones. For the most part there were just dirt and top soil barley held together by chakra. Four of the ten clones had something strange in the center but Ryu couldnt tell what it was. He figured that these were just an attempt to hold togehter the clones or maybe they were made of a worse material. "Means he uses earth affinity.". Ryu looked around at the available soil and dirt in the area. He noticed that they were still in the burnt area that his attacks and the bombs had created. "Clones strength depends on the available topsoi..". Before he could finish his sentence he felt a blunt force to his back as if somebody had kicked him. As he stumbled forward, Ryu threw one of the knifes to keep the other clones at bay not wanting to be jumped now that he was vulnerable. The swords sliced into the arm of the clones that tried to move out of the way and Ryu watched as it crumpled. He turned around still moving back to look down the clone that had just hit him in the back. Ryu suddenly saw a clone that appreared in front of him and began attacking with a kunai. It was his only second time using a sharingan of this level. Everything is seen in slow motion, unfortunatly this can be fustrating to some people for one simple reason. Just because he is seeing everything doesnt make it so that you can keep up with them. Luckily Ryu had trained this also his opponent wasnt exactly the fastest person in the world. Ryu leaned back from a punch bringing up his sword to kill a second clone. "Ryu saw three clones all close together and jumped back, "Katon: Gōkakyu no Jutsu". The strain was beggining to take its toll on Ryu as the third time using it in only a few minutes. The fireball hit the three clones with Ryu chasing after it to possible put some distance. He had taken a few hits and blood ran from his mouth. Then suddenly a large explosion knocked him back, Ryu opened his eyes to see in slow motion shrapnel moving towards him. That key weakness came into play as Ryu did the handsigns, shrapnel entered his thigh and chest, as it continued to hit him he dropped to the ground. Then suddenly in his place appeared a burnt stump. Ryu stood up behind the set of 5 clones. He wasnt fast enough to avoid all of the shrapnel and some had gone in his leg and arm. Blood ran down both places where there was shrapnel from the wounds. Ryu panted hard and looked again at the clones. He took out a tag bomb, now he knew what was in the center of thje original four clones and it was deadly. He Ryu wrapped the bomb around a kunai and lit it then he began to charge the clones. Ryu picked up his blade which he had dropped when he went into the air. Ryu could see the material in three of the remainng five clones. He stopped short dropped everything and threw down a smoke bomb. When the smoke cleared there were five of him. They all picked up the weapons and charged the clones. Ryu sent off three of the clones first which were met by just as many clones. Ryu watch them fall as they passed through the illusions, he clashed with the clones. Then Ryu threw a tag bomb at the clones with the material inside and watched it go up in flames. The explosion was enormous as he turned his attention to the other three.

The tiny tremors from Ryusaki were now accompanied by twenty other feet, and the mass of wriggling vibrations were indistinguishable. That might be why Lenny decided to finally move. Or, it could have been the fire that had decided to to follow a trail of dry leaves to the seat of his pants, and had found just enough fuel to burn through the seat of his pants, revealing a small, reddish patch of flesh. Lenny stood up slowly, letting out a quiet grunt. Maybe I should have made a few less. The walrus began walking firmly up his ash-coated hiding place, making his way as high as he could before the bowing limbs started to worry him. Now he could see, rather than feel the fight. Eleven men fought an epic battle under him. The smallest of them, Ryusaki, was fighting the ten off almost effortlessly. Then the explosives came into play. Lenny cringed as a series of jagged rocks tore through a... stump? Smoke, then clones. Ryusaki was ripping off Lenny's move. Time to join in. The big man let the chakra in his feet puff him out, sending him into a spread-eagle hurtle towards the three opponent's under him. During the progression from tree top to falling lunatic, Ryusaki took his chance to blow up all but three of Lenny's half-assed clones. However, Ryusaki was distracted, and not even big men make noise when they fall. Lenny resisted the urge to bellow. The gap was closing. Much faster than Lenny expected. This was gonna hurt. 20 feet. 15 feet. 10 feet. Lenny balled up, his arms and legs protecting his chest as he felt one of the three opponents crumble sickeningly under him, only to poof in a cloud of smoke. The idea was that any ninja would be at least slightly caught off guard to a large asian man leaving a portly dent in the ground next to them. Lenny didn't stop for a second, raising out of the clones puffy little smoke cloud in an uppercut aimed at either Ryusaki or one of his clones. The remaining three Lenny replicas decided to break their prior engagements, two of which took the initiative to charge at the unoccupied, other Ryusaki's injured arm, followed by the last of Lenny's clones. The clone bringing up the rear clutched greedily to the last kunai, leaving the other ones to make an opening on their opponent. Three big knock-offs versus one normal clone. Or versus one wounded Ryusaki. Lenny had lost track of the original.

(ooc: okay, that might be a little confusing so heres the summary, lenny is trying to uppercutting one of the ryusakis and his three remaining clones is ganging up on the other ryusaki... also, ive got no idea why you keep calling them illusions... they are solid, just pansies.

Ryusaki noticed that the last five clones and his four had become locked in combat. If you were to pay attention, you would notice a slight difference between the four of the fights and once in particular. In four out of the five fights Ryu was only dodging and in no way possible touching Lenny's clones. In the fifth fight Ryu was actually blocking among other things. Though this is near impossible to detect because the heat of the fire explosions and battle. There was also the fact that you would have to be paying attention to five fights at once. Things only continued when one of Lenny's clones tried to kick him in the stomach. Ryu grabbed the leg and threw him up against one of the burning trees. It was damaged but not completly destroyed, it would have probably gotten up and kept on fighting. Instead a lose burning branch was knocked off of the tree and smashed it. Ryu even with his sharingan barley seeing it. Ryu jumped back not because it was a threat but because it was impulse. He took out three kunai and threw them at a clone hitting it in the side. It was too late as Ryu watched his clone be hit and just disappeared. Ryu wasnt shocked as his attention diverted to something hitting the ground. He looked as Lenny landed on one of his clones and it dissipeared. At first Ryu thought that maybe it was another clone, which in any case he was getting tired of. A he focused in on it though he could tell this was the real one. As the remaining three of lenny's clones and the remaining two of Ryusaki's clones returned to their respective user Ryu took out another bomb and dropped it. Through the smoke he could see the four Lenny's. He made one more clone and saw all of the clones charge at him. In a different order than they entered smoke all four of the Ryu's ran out of the smoke. Ryu's three clones did there job as they ran in front of Lenny's clones. They almost taunted them in a way leading them out of Ryu's path. He focused on the real Lenny and took out two of his last four kunai. Ryu held them both in one hand while throwing one at lenny and keeping the other handy. A he got really close he began to focus more as there was a slight naggin feeling he hadnt seen everything Lenny could do. Ryu got to a proper distance and jumped into the air. He began to hold the kunai in a way that could defend himself from a limited set of attacks and still do damage if he connected that attack.

Lenny's appearance seemed to initiate chaos in what had once been an orderly fight. He was beginning to think that coming out might have been a mistake. The vibrations of six clones soon wandered off the field, leaving the two men face to face for the first time. Somewhere in the distance, the three absent Lenny's would be attacking the three absent Ryusaki's. All three would, at some point or another, land a punch, or a kick, or a choke hold, or whatever it is that clones do. The important thing is that while their attacks would turn the Ryusaki trio into a puff of smoke, the strain from it would turn their own frail bodies into ash. In the end, Ryusaki and Lenny were left to duke it out alone.

Ryusaki got things started almost immediatly, tossing his kunai and jumping after it to follow up. Lenny almost missed it among the vibrations from the waring clones. A rather large vibration rang through the ground from Ryusaki's jump, and it tipped Lenny off just in time to turn. As he did so, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. The pile of rocks from his very first clone's defeat. He rolled, possibly the fastest he had ever moved, which even for a ninja, didnt say much. He heard a small puff as the kunai landed in the soft ash beside him. He quickly grabbed it and pushed the flat side against Hisagi's kunai, pushing the nin back just enough to jump back and drop into his usual, sumo-esque stance. The big pile of rocks came to mind, but he pushed it aside and got ready for his opponent's next attack.

Ryusaki was blocked and he saw it coming, he was in the air and never had the chance to alter his attack to counter Lenny's defence. As the kunai clashed Ryu got the confirmation that he was fighting the real Lenny. His attention focused on the split direction the clones went in. He was worried that Lenny's clones may come back because his were illusions and Lenny's could actually hurt you. This gave him a motivation to finish the fight as soon as possible. Ryu took out a second kunai again as if he was going to try the same attack again. Instead he took out a third and put it behind his back and wrapped his last tag bomb onto a kunai. Ryu ran towards Lenny throwing the first of his kunai at lenny. Then he threw second jumping off to the side. Not even waiting to see if his attacks were worthless Ryu kept on moving towards Lenny. Then he finally reached the third kunai, and threw it instead of at Lenny, behind him. It exploded on a tree right behind him. In a matter of seconds due to the fact that he waited to throw the kunai, it exploded behind Lenny. Through the smoke Ryu took out the sword on his back and charged with a stab at Lenny. So far everything had seemed simple but things were harder. Ryu had to take into account that he had limited use of his left hand, it was only good for jutsu slowly. Also his mind once again wandered to the clones, but he knew he had to bring his focus back on his stab towrds Lenny.

Lenny got a good look at Ryusaki for the first time in the match. It was certainly no wonder he had been putting up such a fight. Lenny had lost one fight because he had saved some tricks for other matches. He didn't plan to do it again. Ryusaki jumped, launching kunai left and right. He was fast. Too fast for Lenny to dodge. Or maybe not, but it would have left them in the same place they had been in. The kunai grew ever nearer, and now Ryusaki felt it appropriate to let loose what he had been hiding behind his back. He hit one of the few remaining trees with a tag bomb and covered the two nin in smoke. If Lenny could have possibly dodged before, he couldn't now. The pile of stones was too far to do anything he planned five seconds ago. By the time they reached, Lenny would be a corpse. To make things worse, now he could feel Ryusaki's footsteps thundering behind him. "Substitution!" Another puff of smoke mixed with the smoldering environment, leaving Ryusaki swinging his sword at a bomb. A lit bomb. Lenny had to sacrifice his last grenado. Now all he had was paper bombs. Still, an incredible amount of paperbombs, but just paperbombs. Lenny didn't wait for an explosion. Instead, he gave a stumbling start towards the waiting pile of rocks, stopping only when they were in arms reach. He turned around, panting a little from the strain of so many clones, and stared towards Ryusaki. He groaned a little as he spread his feet into position, squatting down a little and waiting on his opponent to emerge once again, for better or worse.

Ryu entered the smoke, keeping his form. He hadnt heard Lenny say substitution but he was sure if he had anything about his attack would have been different at all. Instead of Lenny what came to few was a lit bomb. Ry unable to stop, sword slipped right into the bomb. An explolsion rocked the area ripped apart the already highly damaged tree and causing it to tumble over. As if the landscape wasnt bad enough it seemed like Lenny's bomb had taken out a good chunk of the enviroment. Where Lenny was standing was now just smoke fire and the burning splintered wood of one of the trees. Emerging from the smoke Ryu had put the sword back in its holder on his back. He paused right before he got out of the smoke his red eyes for the most part gleaming of the sun. It was sad in reality, when this fight had started the trees of the forest stretched incredibly, only a few of the suns rays slipped through into the ground. In some parts it was pitch black and just full of dead leaves. Now in a matter of minutes two people had managed to destroy something that cold have taken nature hundreds of years to create. Where the trees once stood they had fallen some parts still intact, though branches had flown away and most of it was burning. A combination of tag bombs and jutsu's caused the once hard soul ground to be reduced to ash, the leaves were just fuel creating a firestorm, and the trees which had once blocked outt the sun were no longer there. Ryu looked back at the blaze forming behind him and then at Lenny. Once again his sharingan had saved him, right before he stabbed the bomb he did substitution. Just slightly out of the blast radius up on of the trees. Though he wanted to tell himself it wasnt on purpose he new it was vanity that caused him to go back into the smoke. Ryu picked up a stick that was more like a torch and threw it beside Lenny. Lighting leaves on fire and only spreading the flames. It was like he loved the destruction that he was causing to the forest and to admit he pitty'd the person that would definatly have to put this fire out if they diidnt want it to take out a good chunk of the large forest. Ryu took out his sword one more time, the clones werent back yet which means that they had to still be fighting or gone entirly. Maybe he got lucky and Lenny's flimsy clones had accidentally killed themselves. Ryu took out his sword, from what he had seen he guessed that Lenny wasnt very fast. Possibly not good at hand to hand combat otherwise they would have found each other a long time ago. He reached Lenny and tried a barrage of attacks ending it off with an attempted roundhouse kick to lenny's face.

The explosion was unexpected. At least, the size was unexpected. Damn... What did I put in that thing..." Lenny dropped his guard. The explosion reduced the trunk of a enormous tree into a series of flaming splinters. He gave a moment's respect for the dead, bowing his head, almost sad over having killed someone who was guilty of nothing but participating in the same tournament he was in. The smoke started to clear, and the silloughette standing in the smoke came as a confusing mixture of relief... relief that he still had a chance not to kill the man in front of him... and dread... dread that the man in front of him had survived something so tremendous. His red eyes glinted against the gray, making Lenny wonder why he was destined to fight lunatics. The reason he had dodged all of the attacks like they were in slow motion was becoming quite clear. They were in slow motion. Uchiha wasn't just a name. This was starting to look like the turtle and the hair. Ryusaki charged, finally aware of Lenny's lack of speed. But a good ninja makes up for their weaknesses. Turtles have shells. "Earth armor!" The pile of rocks behind him started slowly, but soon picked up, attaching in patches as Ryusaki started his barrage. A swift punch landed on Lenny's shoulder, but Lenny glanced it off. The rocks finished their job, the last one splatting against the side of Lenny's head and melting into place just in time for the kick to land. Lenny's head twitched to the right. He grabbed the leg firmly placed against the side of his head and let out a loud Huu!, spinning Ryusaki in a quick semi circle before letting go, finishing the attack with a stone laden punch to his opponent's chest, leaving a surprise explosive tag where his fist had been. He had aimed the genin for a flaming tree trunk.

Ryu's leg was caught and he was spun around. When Lenny pucnched him there was almost no time to react and as he looked down and saw the tag bomb on his chest. Ryu grabbed it and off of his chest and threw the bomb to the ground. Ryu backflipped and used the tree as a starting off point. He ran as close to hir as he could possibly get. Putting as much power into it as he possibly could from a point blank range Ryu performed fireball jutsu.

(OCC: Sorry for the VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY short post)

A series of pants escaped the exposed places in Lenny's stone coating. He was sure the fight would be over. His attack had landed. Perfectly. His opponent had just been tossed like a ragdoll and Lenny thought for a moment he might be able to get passed this fight with no injuries. Ryusaki's resolve didn't seem so very keen on that. Lenny's tagbomb fluttered harmlessly to the ground like a piece of confetti. A small little gust of ash soon covered its existance. Lenny contemplated the possibility that the pile he reached into before leaving might have been party supplies. Ryusaki didn't give him long to concider it before he flipped and raced towards him, a feet Lenny immediatly chalked up to a little help from the sharingan. Lenny took notice of the paperbomb once again, deciding it hadn't quite spent its usefullness. Their distance shortenned quickly, and Lenny slid to a stop. The spot was perfect. Bright sun over head. Beautiful, burning landscape. Distressed birds and wildlife avoiding the various fires and embers. As if the forest hadn't suffered enough, Ryusaki threw a strong burst of fire at Lenny. The fire raced into Lenny's waiting, rock covered arms, letting the insulating power of earth take the brunt. Lenny's voice pushed through the heat, coming out somewhat gravelly. "Sharingan won't help this!" Ryusaki's footsteps had found their way into a terrible place. The explosive tag went off directly under the Uchiha's feet. They were incredibly close. Several chinks of rock flew off Lenny's leg, leaving him almost completely unharmed. That is, except for the ever heating stone covering on his arm.

Ryu felt the explosion below his feet and and opened his eyes in utter horror. He tried to lean back but he was not fast enough to avoid the blast. His legs were too a point torn to shreds as he was knocked back in pain. It would be a decent while before he was able to walk again. Though to a point that didnt matter, from the start of everything he was leading Lenny back. Into the trap the he had hoped at what point would walk too. From the jutsu's and flipping his direction without noticing it Lenny was walking back to where Ryu, had started his search for him and that is exactly what he wanted. just behind Lenny was those two trees Ryu had set traps on when. Best of all they were in the perfect position. The explosion had knocked away burning rocks and ended bad for both. It hit one of the trip wires cutting it. The sudden release of tension cause the two cut branches to break off and speed towards lenny. When they connected wether they killed or hurt him or not. Three concealed tag bombs would go off under him. There was no jumping back either as behind him was the second trap. Using the time he had Ryu performed a jutus that he had been working on for a while. " Koton: Hakuryuu Yari" Using his hands, still on the ground because of his damages legs a lance formed in Ryu's hands. He smiled as he waited for the smoke to clear from his trap.

The nin were face to face. Again. For a second, a fireball had come between them, but it hadn't lasted. Lenny was looking into the eyes of his opponent. He had seen them as they expressed shock, confidence, mild depravity, and now finally, terror, and it had its effect on Lenny as well. The red tinge below his arms' over heated armor was forgotten in that instance. That too passed. More importantly, there were two man-sized logs making their way to Lenny's torso at alarming speeds. Lenny's characteristic explosives had done more than leave his opponent in tatters. It had sent a miniscule pebble squarely into Ryusaki's trap.
"Huu!"
The smoke started to clear, and in it's gray blurr, stood a barely visible genin, legs spread and head down, a smirk barely visible on his face. His arms spread their full length, holding the more visible portion of the trap still. For an instant. The smirk faded as the armor started to crack, and through the smoke, Lenny's arm's snapped back, leaving the logs to finish their work, just as an explosion started underfoot. "Substitution! Earth Armor!"
In front of the pieces of Ryusaki, the smoke cleared, revealing a very scarred rock where Lenny once stood, completely charred accept for the two log-shaped spots on either side. Behind him stood a large, ragged breathing genin with a pleading look on his face. The only unprotected part of his body was his left shin, and it wouldn't stay that way for long. "Ryusaki... give up." The substitute rock shuddered out of the logs' strangle hold and sped towards Lenny to complete the armor. However, Lenny's decision to recreate his armor had accidentily placed Ryusaki between the stone and its destination, and it didn't seem to mind in the least bit.

(ooc: i remember the trap, and if your wondering why i ignored the spear thing, its because according to kenshi's wonderful wheel of elements, stone trumps fire, so it shouldnt be able to go through my armor. At least, unless ive over looked something. )

Ryu thought for sure that his trap would get Lenny. As the smoke cleared all he saw was a charred rock in his way. He rolled over to see a panting Lenny who seemed to be working on the last of his reserves. Smiling Ryu when he was told to give up he held up his other hand and a second spear formed. He threw the first one that was formed at Lenny. Everything was coming together and lenny was yet to know the hidden trait of the lance

The small fires began to die down, the ashes and the embers giving way to a cool breeze, despite Ryusaki's constant attempts to rekindle them. Despite his condition, he managed to summon a two magnifiscently flaming spears, both of which seemed to take a life of their own, one aimed like a hungry snake at Lenny's head. The other went with a forsight Lenny didn't posses to head off the rock before it could make it to Lenny or Ryusaki. The latter hit its target first, and the resulting explosion cast pebbles in every direction. Apparently, Ryusaki had some tricks still up his sleeves. Well... up his intact sleeve. Ryusaki was beginning to look like the energizer bunny, just keeping on banging that damn drum. "Earth Clone!" The ground swelled up to meet Ryusaki's spear, taking on Lenny's shape just before the spear followed its predasessor. (now thats some spellin) Lenny's hand promptly found its way onto the clone's back, giving it a little extra oomph to take care of that nasty explosion. Soil and fire filled the air. The armor looked like it would hold for a while, but the brunt of the explosion came and went, and the rocks seperated, hovering around the arm as the chakra holding them down slowly broke, sending them spinning off of his now heavily toasted arm. It looked like Lenny was dust. The explosion sent a questionable, dry pulp flying through the air that could have easily been a genin. At least, before the fist came. A brooding look graced Lenny's face as he flew through the fire, his unexposed arm whizzing at an alarming pace. Its rocky cover pointed to the face inches away from it. The other arm lay limp and charred to the side, looking suspiciously like Ryusaki's charred arm.
"That was your last chance."

A VOICE RINGS THROUGH THE FOREST FROM A LOUDSPEAKER. THE ANNOUNCER IS ONE OF THE PROCTER'S FOR THE CHUUNIN EXAMS, "YOU HAVE ALL DONE WELL DURING THIS FIRST TEST. NOW THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE REAL TEST....." A LONG SILENCE FOLLOWED, MORE THAN LIKELY AN ATTEMPT TO BUILD UP SUSPENSE. " ....THOSE OF YOU REMAINING MUST NOW MAKE YOUR WAY OUT OF THE FOREST AND TO THE CHUUNIN EXAM FOR THE FINAL EXAM. THE ARENA IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF KONOHA, MAKE YOUR WAY THERE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, THOSE WHO ARE LATE WILL SUFFER DISQUALIFICATION." THE ANNOUNCER STOPPED HIS SPEECH, SIGNIFYING THAT IS WAS NOW TIME FOR THE GENIN TO GET MOVING.

Lenny stopped. "It's... over?" His eyes scrunched agaist the heat, trying desperately to force themselves open. A glance left him staring at a third and final spear, signifying that the voice had come just in time to save him from losing his head. Likewise, Lenny's heavy armored fist was resting inches from Ryusaki. The tendons strained themselves to stop the punch. "Mm"The armor began crumbling, theatrically slow. Large patches flaked off. It all came tumbling down, leaving a rather exposed Lenny hoping Ryusaki wouldn't take the chance to send him to heaven."Good luck." He busied himself with picking up his home grown rocks, not really sure what else to say to the fellah he had just sincerely tried to kill. He turned to leave, walking just slow enough for the nin behind him to throw some pleasantries of his own. He would have won...
