Having heard of a recently deceased Rogue-Nin whose clan was said to possess a rather powerful eye technique, one that seemed to be strongly related to the name of his small clan. The eye was said to allow the owner to spew poisonous fog in battle, an ability that would surely help him out in combat. So with that knowledge and some tips from the bar he knew of, Kurokotsu set off toward the rogue camp, a place previously only known to those who had somehow managed to escape. He made his way through the countries, stopping only to hunt for food and rest to keep his strength up.

After a few days of this, Kurokotsu found himself at the entrance of the hideout: A small opening in an otherwise impenetrable ring of extremely old trees. Smirking, he leapt on top of one of the branches and then jumped straight into the camp. As he took a trio of kunai out of their holster, he looked around the area and examined the houses. "Hmm...clay, and various metals huts...Won't burn easily but would easily be knocked down to hide their numbers. Very interesting..." He said to himself, examining the surroundings for a place where a body could be hidden.

Kurokotsu examined nearly the whole village from a distance, before he thought to look under the large tree in the center and saw a body there matching the description he had been given. Smiling softly, he walked over to it and kneeled down beside it, putting two fingers to the throat to make sure it was dead.

Nodding to himself once he realized that the body was indeed cold and dead, Kurokotsu held his hands together and said a prayer before reaching one hand out and grasping the eye. Ignoring the slimy feeling and the reminder that someone could someday do the same to him, Kurokotsu snipped the nerves binding it to its host with a very miniscule burst of chakra, and placed it into a small glass jar he had carried with him. Securing the lid and making sure the eye was still floating in the once-pure water, Kurokotsu stared at it, watching it like it seemed to watch him, before securing it to his right hip with a length of wire. "Well, time to go..." He said, turning and preparing to leave as quietly as he had arrived.

Ryu, flew through the forest, like it was his own home town. Blowing through each and every makeshift hut, house and ignorant shinobi that had managed to escape their villages until now. It was nothing more than a nuisance, they had to realize that all they did was give each other comfort. If the villages were to get "proactive" every once in a while then maybe crap like that wouldn't happen and they would all be dead within the week. Though that was the last of his concern, as he got closer to where peoples wandering eyes could see his face he pulled out an old anbu mask and covered his face. The rain village mask was one that several had seen before their deaths. That same mask bore Ryu's legacy and held his past locked away within it. It was infamous, and common, and that was the true beauty of the whole situation. Anyone would see him and assume he was some random mist ninja, that could be why several of these "rats" scattered as they he passed by. Maybe they hoped he didn't stop and attack them all cause he was busy looking for one specific target. In all reality he was looking for that target, but not to kill, but recover. One of his organizations high ranking members had died, by committing suicide. Or at least, that was what his informant had told him when the body was found. Ryu had ordered that his informant keep people clear of the body until he arrived and got it. It held a powerful bloodline that he would rather keep under wraps until it was time to reveal it. Other villages, or confused arrogant shinobi getting their hands on it would only push his ideals back farther. Though as Ryu traveled he began to go through all the enemies that shinobi had created over the years. Thinking up possible suspects to his death, sure he had been told it was a suicide but it's always best to assume that it's never that. Murders are made to look like suicides every day, if it was a suicide it wouldn't surprise anyone though. Or more likely it shouldn't, that man had much problems, thinking that the gift he was blessed with was a curse. Well it didn't matter anyway, Ryu would just have to find a new shinobi to replace him, and he would take something else off of his hands. Landing on the final tree Ryu looked around trying to locate the body. Unless he was misinformed, it would be around that general area that he had seen. No sooner did he find the body did he notice a shinobi already in the process of investigating. Ryu's first instinct was to jump down and begin a battle, he wanted certain things a secret. But based on where everyone was at the time, word travels fast, and he had to remain in the shadows for a while.

Revealing himself too quickly could turn out to be a larger cost than just missing something. A closer inspection revealed, that this man wasn't like the rest, he still had an undamaged headband. He was part of the mist village, with the most economic and military might in the world at the moment. Thinking about how all these people could be useful in the future Ryu decided to not start a war with them. He would wait to see how things unfolded, though if he tried to take the entire body then there would have to be a problem. Luckily for everyone in a set distance the man wasn't greedy and settled on the eye. Even so, Ryu had to clench to avoid stopping him, knowing that this loss would turn out better in the long run. After he had finally gotten out of distance, he apparently new coveted prize out of the way Ryu jumped down to inspect the damage. The man had managed to take one of the eyes and probably knowingly stole a dojutsu. Shaking his head at the empty eye socket Ryu began to whisper to himself. "If he came out here, that means word of it spread. Guess my informant isn't so good at his job, can't afford this again, just have to get him "dealt with" later I guess." Shrugging Ryu reached down and picked up the body, he would rather take everything out here, but there was a chance that wouldn't end well. He would just take everything back to the base and lock it up for future worth. Throwing the limp, one eyed corpse over his shoulder he took off towards the akatsuki base.
