Aburame Clan:

The Aburame clan (油女一族, Aburame Ichizoku) is a clan characterized by their use of insects, called Kikaichū, as weapons. The insects live in symbiosis within the body of the shinobi. At birth, members of this clan are offered to a special breed of insects as a nest, residing just under their host's skin. The insects can leave and enter through various pores, apparently by eating their way through the skin. The insects are called destruction bugs. They feed on chakra as a food source, making them quite deadly. The relationship between the shinobi and the insects is mutually beneficial. The host grants the bugs shelter and allows them to feed off their chakra, their body becoming a living hive, and in return the bugs do the user's bidding, allowing the shinobi to perform ninjutsu-like techniques without the use of hand seals or chakra conversion.

A female bug can be left on a target, which then can be tracked by smell by the male bug, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. For this reason, Aburame clan members are experts in espionage; they can communicate with the bugs, and the bugs specialize in stealth because they make no noise or motion during combat. In addition to utilizing insects in battle, the Aburame clan also studies insects. They were rivals of the Kamizuru clan, the bee users, until they defeated them in battle.

Aburame Trait:

The Kikaichū (寄壊蟲; English TV "Destruction Bugs"; Literally meaning "Parasitic Destruction Insects") are a species of small, beetle-like insects that are bred and utilized exclusively by the Aburame clan for their unique techniques. All members of the Aburame clan actually live in symbiosis with the kikaichū through the practice of a Hiden Jutsu; the Destruction Bug Host Technique: The Aburame clan, shortly after birth, allows the kikaichū to live and breed inside the their bodies, and in return through this practice, the host ninja receives the life-long ability to control and command the bugs, using them as their primary fighting technique.

The kikaichū can fly, and they will typically move in swarms when on the attack, or in smaller numbers when practicing stealth. A female bug can be left on a target and then they can be tracked by smell, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. Thanks to the kikachū, Aburame clan members are experts in communication and espionage, due to their ability to communicate with the insects, stealth because the kikaichū make no noise or motion during combat, as well as in search-and-seizure missions.

Usually, since the kikaichū only have a lifespan of a few hours, they are always breeding safe within their host, maintaining their numbers. Because of their short lifespans, the kikaichū are easily expendable in combat. If large numbers of the kikaichū should be wiped out, then the bug-user can utilize Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon, a technique which can be used to rapidly breed a whole new generation of the kikachū, repopulating their numbers.

Since the kikachū only have a lifespan of a few hours, their life cycle ensures that there will always be females with eggs. Any variations that prove useful to the individual bug, and consequently the bug-user, in combat such as immunities will be passed on to the next generation, which can then be cultivated for their success against dangerous opponents in combat. The immunities gained from the kikachū can be used as a defense mechanism; by exerting chakra, the original source of the immunities can be rendered useless or can be destroyed on contact. For example, when the kikachū gained immunities to Guren's unique Crystal Release, they were able to resist being crystallized, and were able to shatter her techniques on contact.

The most common use of the kikachū in combat is to ambush an opponent and drain them of their chakra before they notice the bugs at work. This process can leave the victim with so little chakra that unable to move or fight back. Other uses include simply tracking down a target, serving as a a protective shield and as a prison to hold and detain a target in place. Due to having simpler nervous systems, the kikaichū are also less likely to be affected by genjutsu--which are designed to affect the more complex nervous systems of humans.

The Destruction Bug Host Technique is a practice exclusive to the Aburame clan; a clan famed for its use of the kikachū in their jutsu. To grant a newborn member of the clan the use of the kikaichū, the newborn's body is offered to insects as a nest. Then over the years, as the child grows up, they are instructed in the Hiden Jutsu of the clan, and learn how the insects may serve them in combat.

This unique jutsu is a secret technique that allows the user to increase the speed of insects' development. As the user's body is already a hive of sorts for the insects, the user will encase himself in an actual cocoon to further aid the insects. This is an extremely useful move for Aburame clan members, since their attacks mainly focus on the usage of bugs. However, using this in the midst of a battle can be potentially dangerous as it leaves the user static and vulnerable.

This jutsu uses the Kikaichū bugs living in the user's body as a shield by having them fly in a dome shape at high speed. The dome is strong enough to destroy incoming attacks, but can be disrupted with sufficient explosive force

By using the destruction bugs, members of the Aburame clan surround their opponent with thousands of bugs, making a globe of bugs around the opponent beforehand to completely trap them. Once trapped, the bugs would normally drain the chakra and swallow their victim. The bugs covering the victims body prevent movement, but should they escape the bugs will follow them.
