Meeting the Nanabi no Kabutomushi

Xane followed his escorts out of the village on their journey to the Fisherman's Village near the Ocean. If they stopped only when necessary they would arrive to their destination in three days. As they made their way as far as possible the first day Xane began to learn more about the two "bodyguards" of the Nanabi. Nejiguma and Onigumo were a pair of polar opposites. Nejiguma was pompous, callous, and outright rude. It was clear the short man suffered from little man syndrome which was directed bluntly towards Xane. Nejiguma only reaching 5' 4 perhaps had some bitterness at the over half a foot of height difference. Though Xane was banking more on the idea that Nejiguma seemed to resent the young special jounin's task to receive the 7 Tailed Beetle from his master. For whatever reason the short man seemed he would only be content with this journey if Xane failed to contain the beast and died in the process.

Onigumo on the other hand was a delightful person to be around. He was only six inches taller than his counterpart though he exuded nothing but love for nature and things around him. He enjoyed Xane's presence as the made their way across the wilderness towards the Ocean. Onigumo seemed to want nothing more than Shichirou to finally be done with his ninja career. This was a bit weird to him though since he was under the impression that after the Bijuu was transferred the previous host would die. Perhaps they had created some jutsu to allow the transfer of a Bijuu without killing the first host? While he pondered this the terrain began to slowly change from the thick growth of forest to the rocky expanse of the beautiful mountains.

Their journey had been going on for two days so far and with the arrival at the mountains it seemed like it would be ending sooner than expected. The mountains proved to be an easy task for them to conquer and by the end of the third night. As they began to reach the boarder of land and ocean the sun began to set. The hallmark like scene would have been beautiful to anyone had they been there. Xane was beginning to think more about the task he had been sent out for more than anything at that moment though. In a matter of hours he would meet a legendary ninja from the village of Flame. . . and what's more he would be the new host of the seven tailed beetle. The trio walked through the town towards a building off in the outskirts. In this simple home Shichirou Yuda, the Nanabi no Kabutomushi, now resided.

The Trio walked up to the simple home with Onigumo leading. As he reached the door he knocked three times before opening it at the sound of a muffled door is open Oni. The house opened up to a simple living room with a firepit in the center. Sitting next to a great boiling pot of stew sat a frail old man. It seemed the person within this withering husk of a body had long since lost the will to live. As the trio came to join Shichirou near the fire Xane found this assessment to be quite far from the truth. The fiery passion in his old gray eyes was burning hotter than the fire between them. As the three caught up with what needed to be done to complete the preparations Xane could only marvel in the immense chakara from the Nanabi within.

After Onigumo, Nejiguma and Shichirou finished with their conversation it was time to chat. Shichirou turned his full attention to Xane. "So you are the young prodigy from Flame that I've heard so much about . . . Xane Legend was it?" "Yes, I am Xane. It is a leasure to meet you Master Shichirou." "It seems you have fallen right into the footsteps of your father, rocketing through the ranks with great potential. Flame can expect great things from you I am sure. . . which is why I am pleased to entrust the Nanabi no Kabutomushi to you. Provided you can withstand the process of course." Xane couldn't help but feel a bit worried as that possibility came to the forefront again. Though this time the feeling was instantly crushed by his resolve to succeed no matter what. "Then I just have to pass!"
Shichirou and Onigumo chuckled at Xane's statement while Nejiguma scowled darkly. "That is certainly what we are hoping for Xane," Onigumo beamed. "We will prepare the transfer after dinner, tomorrow at dawn we will proceed. I advise you eat quickly and retire to be ready for this endeavor young Legend." "Yes. . "Xane answered as reality sunk in that there was only hours left before he would be a jinchiriku.

The rest of the evening was silent as Xane slept with dawn coming quickly and with it a harsh storm. As the rain battered the roof the group was in the only room on the second floor. Xane, Nejiguma, Onigumo, and Shichirou sat in four intertwined seal marks. Nejiguma and Onigumo began to form their hand seals in complete synchronization while Xane and Shichirou sat gripping eachother's forearms. Tiger, Snake, Rat, Ox, Dog, Ram were formed before Onigumo and Nejiguma opened their eyes as they sprang backwards slamming their right palms into the center of their seals. "Tailed Beast Transfer[O Juu Tensō]!"

Everything happened so fast as Xane and Shichirou were lifted up into the air, their heads flung back and eyes/mouthes shooting open. Their eyes began to shoot off a ghoulish green light as an ectoplasmic spirit began to feet itself from Shichirou's mouth into Xane's. A sharp pain erupted through Xane's body as it felt like he was being scorched from the inside out. The storm began to intensify as the transfer began to speed faster and faster. Soon the great howling roar from the 7 Tailed beetle echoed loudly within the small room. As minutes became hours Onigumo and Nejiguma began to pant from the shear amount of chakra they had to produce to maintain the transfer. At the end of the sixth hour it seemed as though things were reaching it's peak. The ferocious roar from the wind outside droned in perfect harmony with the Nanabi as a bright white light began to form and explode from the center of the seal. The light shot out drowning out all other noise as everything was blanketed in it. All was silent as the light slowly faded. Nejiguma was the first to sit up after the jutsu had ended. As he got to his feet Onigumo was next to recover and do the same. They had aged twenty years from the use of the tech. The two now older men moved to kneel at Shichirou's slumped body. Several minutues passed with neither Xane nor Shichirou moving. As the duo was beginning to lose hope of this being a successful transfer the sun broke through the clouds in heavenly beams of light. Two beams shown on Shichirou and Xane as they slowly opened their eyes.

Xane was startled back into reality as he opened his eyes to return to the present day.
