The Return of the Report

Jounin rank A.N.B.U. Operative of Sunagakure Leonardo Devarangi, known by other names such as Leo Leon and Leonard, A Sleeper Agent from the Syndicate and an infiltrator of many nations. This man could assassinate anyone short of the leader of Akatsuki, and even he would be hard pressed to notice Leon before he was eliminated. This man was so powerful and so secretive that not even the Kazekage knew all there was to know about him, or at least he knew a lot that he thought he knew everything but in reality didn't.

Leonardo was just returning from his first mission in awhile, the mission of course was far below the skills of his stature and had been taken simply out of boredom. Even the mission had been far to easy, as shown by the satchel clutched in his hand that contained the three items of the man he had been sent to kill. These items were easy enough, firs of all was the mans Tanto, a very simple weapon and nothing special. Second was a notebook containing the written accounts of every murder the man had committed, and as such may be valuable evidence in anything that may arise. Finally was a skull, not just any skull though, this skull was that of the Missing-Nin that had performed the murders, it was quite freshly scalped for it held only a few traces of hair and skin that had stuck to it.

Now back to the main event at hand, the A.N.B.U. entered the village without being seen, his skills in this area supplying the necessary elements. He then proceeded to make his way towards the Kazekages mansion using these very same skills, of course it was quite cool out as it was the night after the mission had been completed within the land of water. As he reached the front of the mansion Leon used a couplet of jutsu (The Neko Hokou technique and the tree climbing technique) which combined allowed him to climb up the side of the mansion soundlessly, of course he could have just Body Flickered but he was feeling like going for a walk. And so as he reached a window near the very top of the mansion he performed Body Flicker to enter without setting off any alarms or making any sounds by moving the heavy curtains. Of course he just appeared within the room, he was after all here to report to the Kazekage and not on an assassination mission.

Eiji lay motionless, half conscious in his bed, his eye still bandaged from the surgery a day before that. The constant throb, and stabbing at the defense of his chakra flow by the newly implemented sharingan eye was taking quite the toll on his stamina. He had been tired since the surgery, but he felt his condition stabilizing at a steady rate. I wonder how Leon has fared on his assignment.

There was no doubt in his mind of failure, as a nin of his status was more than qualified for the issued mission. However, thoughts of what the traitors death would do for the advancement of Sunagakure riddled his psyche. Eiji remained silent, lost in thought for quite some time while pondering the subject. Occasionally he would attempt to move, but the lag between his muscles and mind troubled him. Eiji could not stand feeling weakened. The thought of Leons arrival arrived in the nick of time when he immediately became aware of his loyal ANBU head in the very room in which he lay. Leon had entered in the most stealthy of fashions, and would have went unnoticed if not for Eijis mindset as a powerful shinobi.

"Well speak of the devil, what news do you bring my friend?"

Eiji would not allow himself to look weak in the presence of such a loyal being. Without so much as a hint of struggle, he leaned up in the bed, and to his feet to face Leon. A bright smile crossed his lips as he did so, and a bow of the head was taken to show his gratitude and respect despite what the results would show.

Removing his mask Leon deposited it within his coat before removing the satchel from his shoulder. It had been a few days since he had last seen the Kazekage but he did seem to be quite well, and as Leo began removing the items he purposefully left the skull inside the satchel and floated over towards the bed, handing over both the Notebook and Tanto covered in dried blood.

"The notebook details every murder the man did and every specific he could remember, gruesome but accurate, the Tanto is the weapon used and the blood on it may possess some secrets of which we can attain. I also have the skull of the dead shinobi but it still has remenants of his skin and hair on it so it may gain us more information than thought, the mission was completed succesfully and no one saw me so I did not need to silence even a simple civilian."

This last was said with a hint of pride for he normally had to silence one or two nosey people. Stepping back Leo melded into the shadows ready for the next instructions, of course the Kazekage would have seen this before and would know that he was still in the room.

The Tanto and Notebook were grasped by either hand in a gentle fashion, and a small amount of the dried blood flaked and fell to the floor under the pressure applied to hold them. Eiji moved across the room to his desk abnormally swift as usual. The drawer beneath the table top was unlocked with his touch, the contents of his hands tucked neatly inside for further investigation at a later time.

"Once again you prove yourself to be competent, and I thank you for that."

He watched as Leon merged gracefully with the shadows of the room. The fact that such a large person could move with any grace had always astonished him. Eiji turned to face the corner of the room, before again returning to his place of rest.

"The notebook will be personally reviewed by me in the morning, and sent to Kirigakure as soon as possible. The Tanto will be placed on display in the museum again proving the guaranteed fate of those who cross us."

The Kazekage paused in his words for only a moment before continuing.

"And as for the skull, see to it that it is examined for further information at the morgue. At this time of night, there is nothing more that I can ask of you. You are dismissed Leon, please, get some rest."

Eiji's tone never faltered while he spoke. His right hand was raised in a lazy wave indicating his fatigue.

" And please, close the window if you will."

And with that, Eiji returned to the comfort of his bed where he would attempt to sleep.

So the report and mission ends swiftly, Leon departed from the room closing the window behind him silently and headed of towards the morgue, dropped off the skull and eliminated any traces of having been there. He then proceeded to make his way towards his own dwelling located within a special district only accessible by skilled shinobi.

Entering his dwelling using his skills as an A.N.B.U. for that was how it had been built, he began to sleep standing upright in a corner. This was a habit he had developed over the years of making sure he was ready for anything, he even slept with his mask on so as to intimidate weak mindless fools. For now, sleep. In the morning he would request another mission and then he would complete it with ease.
