Chuunin Exam Finale

Having barely pass the written exam, Hanako makes her way into what looks like huge stadium. High walls surround a flat, open dust bowl, with seating above the walls to provide spectators a place to watch the up and coming ninja. Making her way farther inside, she notices she is once again the first person to arrive of the people taking the test. Wandering into the middle of the arena, she spins three hundred and sixty degrees, taking in the people gathered, before turning back to watch the entrance for the next to arrive. She quickly activates her bloodline with a whispered "Byakugan." As she does, she happens to catch one of the spectators say something about her being a Hyuuga and how this should be an interesting fight. Doing her best to block out the external distractions, she lets her body flow into the read stance of the Gentle Fist style, waiting for the match to begin.

Shin followed quitely behind the proctor his hands tucked calmly into the pockets of his white shorts. With each step the tip of the ninjato strapped to his back tapped against his tail bone softly, annoying Shin slightly but in no way breaking his almost meditative focus. As he stepped out of the dark tunnel into the stadium he had to momentarily cover his eyes from the bright lights. High above his position what appears to be hundreds of spectators sit at the edge of their seats awaiting the commencment of the exams final. As his eyes finally adjust to the brightness of the stadium he notices that the girl he'd seen at the beginning of the exam standing dead center of the stadium, in almost a mirror image of his fellow countryman Katsuoru's gentle fist ready stance. Shin steps forward a few paces so as not to block the entrance of the enormous stadium and bows slightly in her direction, a sign of respect that he had been taught to extend to opponents on occasions such as these. As he straightens up he reaches over his left shoulder, drawing the pitch black blade free of its wooden home and dropping into a defensive stance, his katana held horizontally across his body the blade facing the direction of the Hyuuga girl.

With the annoying written test now done kenshi could now enter into the fight scene of the chuunin exams his most favorite part. Walking slowly into the arena with a slouching posture kenshi looked upon the two other genin who now stood inside of the arena with him. Giving a gaze over the crowd of spectators who had come for a fight kenshi couldnt help but feel excited. With his robes completly covering his arms and his straw hat reseded to give him his vision, kenshi activated his kekkai genkai turning his hands into bone claws while also preparing a few kunai with flash bangs attached to the end. Tucking his body down slightly kenshi waited for one of his competitors to make a move.

Hanako tracks her two opponents as they enter the arena, watching where they go to stand and how they ready themselves. Feeling that enough time has passed that nothing could be deemed an unfair surprise attack, she pushes off from her starting point, moving swiftly towards the man with the sword. As she runs, her hands flash through a few hand signs, followed by the required incantation. "Kaze Kyousha." Three green lances appear around her head and shoulders, though do not fire towards either of the two opponents. Finally coming within range of Shin, she rears back a left fist, as if going to punch him, but continues on past his right side, going the same speed. As she streaks past, she reaches out her pointer and middle finger, trying to make contact with his right wrist. "Kansetsu Sejou Atemi" She mutters, hoping her attack connects. At the same time, mid way between the two men, she plants her right foot, coming to a stop quickly and points her left arm at Kenshi, launching all three lances of wind in his direction. Rotating on her right heel, she turns to face Shin again, preparing for a counterattack of any sort.

Shin keeps his eyes mostly locked on the hyuuga girl, only glancing at the other student from time to time out of the corner of his eye. Almost as soon as the other opponent steps into the arena and drops into his own fighting stance the girl takes off towards shin, summoning 3 lances of what appears to be composed purely of green wind. "A wind user aswell" Shin muses as he exhales a deep breath that he hadnt realised he was holding in. As she nears him and throws her punch feint he dives to the side, her punch gliding harmlessly past where his arm should have been. Shin then stabs his ninjato into the ground to halt his momentum with his left hand whilst his right reaches into the holster tied to his leg withdrawing with it 3 black metal shuriken. Using his opportunity to attack he tossess the three shuriken towards the hyuuga female. Once the shuriken are free from the grip of his fingers the soar through the air, one on target to connect with her left leg and the other two of them on target to connect with her upper body. As his final act he yanks the pitch black blade of his ninjato free of the ground, before dragging the palm of his hand over the flat side of the blade a light blue coating of his chakra surrounding it as he did so. With two elegant swings of left hand he sends two thin crescents of wind chakra towards the mystery man as he inaudibly mumbles the name of his attack. "Dancing Wind Strike."

Kenshi watched as the 2 other genin began to encounter each other head on skillfully whilst also paying little attention to him only enough to launch a seemingly joint attack. Letting out a sigh kenshi quickly threw his kunai with flash bangs at the 2 hoping to hit them but if not the bangs would go off soon after. With this done kenshi saw the 3 wind spears racing towards him at a frightening speed and so he decided to jump to the right quickly but not quickly enough to dodge one which he deflected by knocking away with one of his bone hands and hitting the side of the front. Spears only have power straight on sadly they are to easy to knock away... he thought but there was still an attack to take care of, with the 2 streaks of wind going at him kenshi put up his claws and let the wind impact them hoping that he could conceal his claws still by having his robes go over it. This blocked the wind but ripped up his robes some and kicked up dust. Quickly running forward he stops a medium distance from his opponents and forms handsigns then putting them to his mouth and taking down the cloth covering it he said "DragonFire Jutsu" A long dragonlike flame shot from his mouth towards his opponents in hopes of frieing them.

Muttering quickly and quietly to herself for missing the sword users arm, her attention is quickly drawn to the three shuriken streaking towards her. Diving to the left side, she lands on her shoulder, rolling and coming back up to her feet facing both men. She catches the tail end of the gout of flame that the oddly cloaked ninja had sent at both of them, and was happy she had dived out of the way. 'The cloaked one has some pretty scary jutsu it seems, and I need to make it harder for that sword user to swing his weapon.' She thinks to herself. Not wanting to give either of them the time to prepare another attack against her, she sprints back towards the pair of them. This time, she heads for the cloaked ninja, and continues running head on. Only at the last moment does she shift her weight to the right, and dropping downwards, going into a controlled slide. Once shes past, she plants her right foot, bringing the slide to a stop and using the moment to spring her back to her feet. Spinning on her heel, she turns to face Kenshi's back, or so she hopes. Stepping in, she shoots both of her hands forward, palms flat, aiming to strike on a pair of precise points. "Two." She counts off as she spins to his side, continuing the move, again shooting out her palms for exact locations, "Four." Again and again she attacks, until thirty-two hits have been made. "Eight Trigram Thirty-Two Palms." She mutters quietly, using her enhanced sight to see if the blows actually struck where they were supposed to. Her gaze flickers to Shin, seeing what his next move is.

Shin curses silently as he watches both of his opponents escape his attacks unharmed, Hanako having dived out of the way and Kenshi having simply blocked the crescents of wind. Mirroring Hanako's movement he too dodges to the side, however his left leg is caught partially by the flames burning off the bottom half of his shorts and leaving his skin lightly burned. Grinding his teeth together he tries to mentally distance himself from the pain in his leg. As he does so he watches Hanako charge Kenshi, before she erupts into an almost rythmic and hypnotic dance as she strikes at every point she can see. Taking the opportunity of his opponents being close together Shin runs through a series of handsigns beginning with "Tiger" and Ending with "Dragon" As the last seal is made he draws in a large breath of air through his mouth simultaneously gathering chakra to his chest before spitting out 6 balls of compressed wind and chakra at his opponents. Once this is done he once again snatches his ninjato, which he had stuck point first into the ground, and takes off at a sprint close behind his jutsu. Once within striking range he slashes horizontally, his ninjato aimed to gut the flame jutsu using shinobi.

Kenshi watched one of the ninjas seemed to easily dodge his attacks while the other became slightly burned, but now the looming threat over him was the hyuuga girl who seemed to be rushing towards him with the intent of landing a killer blow with thos hands. Jumping back kenshi felt the waves of chakra flow out from the hyuuga and experienced a rush of excitement when in a moments notice she struck all about him. Deforming his bone claws kenshi pushed his kekkai genkai to form a layer of bone around his chest and torso because of the amount of room needed it was light but enough to block the major damage caused by those strikes yet still knock him around. Next came the other wind user who seemed to be using a another wind attack. This was simple enough to dodge since they were big air balls but the hard part came next. The ninja had a weapon on him which he sliced with at kenshi's stomach. Forming a hard layer of bone at his stomach kenshi also drew one kunai with his left hand and attempted to block as much of the weapon as possible while throwing a kunai with an explosive tag and wire on the end of it at his opponent.

Hanako pants heavily, the massive amount, for her, of chakra shes burnt through in such a small time taking its toll on her. Due to her Byakugan, shes able to see the balls of wind coming at her, even though they're behind her, but her body doesn't quite move as fast as her mind wish it would. Ducking and half rolling to the side, she catches a ball of wind in her left shoulder, ripping up the jacket and tearing into her flesh a bit. She stifles a cry as she comes back to her feet and flexes her left arm, but it doesn't quite respond like it should. Taking a deep breath, she flashes through a few quick hand signs, "Suigyoku Akarumu" A swirl of green wind circles around her for a moment, the gashes on her shoulder stop bleeding, a few of the shallower ones seal up completely. Opening her eyes she lets out a breath she didn't remember holding. Turing her gaze to Shin, who seems to have the cloaked ninja occupied at the moment, she rushes at his back, deciding to rely on the deadliness of the Gentle Fist rather than burn any more chakra. Once within striking range, she lashes out a palm aimed for his right kidney, then another to the left side towards the location of his liver.

A small smile spreads across Shins face as he feels his blade slice through the hard bone that encases the robed fighters stomach and into slightly into the flesh of his stomach. Soon the first symptom of the poison that covered his ninjato would begin to take effect on his opponent, and the fight should become at least more even. However his smile doesnt last very long and is once again replaced by a blank look of determination as he has to swiftly jerk his head to the side narrowly avoiding a kunai. A droplet of blood slides down his cheek from the small scratch caused by the kunai as the tag attached to it explodes behind his back. A cloud of pitch black smoke swiftly forms behind his back, eventually envoloping Shin in its darkness. With the loss of his vision Shin attempts to hear for the sound of any movement possible, as he does so the sound of onrushing footsteps reaches his ears. Turning swiftly around to face what he assumes to be the onrushing hyuuga, he is greated by a pair of palms being planted firmly into his abdomen. A flurry of wind and saliva erupts from his mouth from the impact and he is subsequently thrust from the cloud of smoke eventually rolling to a halt several meters away. As he lays on the ground he low cough comes from his mouth along with a some blood. Slowly he begins to rise from the ground, all the while still coughing up more blood. "I'm not gonna last too much longer in this condition" Shin thought as he struggled to collect himself, eventually the fits of coughing stopped and shin was able to evaluate his situation. As it stood his chakra reserves were begining to run low, and that hit to the gut had all but severed the flow of what little chakra he had left as well as causing some internal bleeding, meaning he'd have to rely purely on his swordsmanship and overall skill as a ninja to finish this as quickly as possible. As such he dropped into the same defensive stance he'd taken up at the start of the match, the light blue haze of his chakra that surrounded his blade slowly fading from sight as he waited for his opponents next onslaught.

Kenshi quickly jumping back and examining the damage done did not notice to much trouble as the sword had not gone done very far and the bleeding wouldnt be to much of a bother but he was still hit. The other 2 genin seemed to be running themselves ragged quickly which was good for him. Forming his bone claws kenshi jumped at the genin whom he was slashed by and as he got close kenshi threw 2 kunai with exploding tags at the genin and then formed handsigns and said "Fire Dragon Jutsu" A dragon made of fire spat from his mouth going at the other genin and the 2 exploding kunai he had sent forth. Looking to the other genin kenshi prepared for the next barrage

Unable to quite see through the smoke the exploding kunai made, but as Shin jumps away, Hanako notices that the pathways around his stomach have been severely damaged, and she winces at the pain he must be going through at the moment. Shaking her head, not wanting to let her attention slip from the battle, she catches sight of the the flame dragon barreling towards her. It causes her to freeze for a second, memories of when she was little springing to the forefront of her mind. At the last second, she falls flat to the floor, the flame mere inches above her head. Even still the extreme heat singes off most of the back of her coat, giving her a burn equivalent to a sunburn. Rolling to the side out from under it, she pushes herself up with her arms, and then uses her legs to spring off, going into a full run. As she does, she forms the simple hand signs for the clone jutsu and in a puff of smoke, there are two of her. Both run straight at Kenshi, both panting heavily, as one jumps and comes down from above, while the other zips past behind him. The two swing at the same time, the jumping one aiming a palm at his right lung, and the one behind him thrusting a palm at his left lung and left kidney.

Shin watched as Kenshi tossed two kunai in his direction, a rather weak offensive maneuver but presumably he thought it would be adequate judging from Shins current state. Reaching into his own leg holster the mist village shinobi drew out two kunai, both of which he sent sailing through the air in order to intercept the flight of kenshins kunai. A loud clang resounded through the now quiet stadium as the four kunai collided with each other, this was of course until the exploding tags attached to kenshi's kunai exploded. As had previously happened a large cloud of smoke enveloped the area a few metres in front of Shin obscuring Hanako and Kenshi from his view. Once again a bout of coughing washed over shin, a mixture of spittle and blood spattering the ground when he coughed. "My condition is worse than i first thought." he thought as he wiped away the blood that had begun to drip from the corner of his mouth before raising his hand in the air in an attempt to garner the attention of a proctor. Almost instantly a leaf shinobi appeared next to Shin his eyes locked on the wounded Mist nin. "Problem Kid?" he asked his smooth voice carrying a tone of annoyance. "I cant continue anymore, so i'm forfeiting the match" Shin stated as he returned his ninjato to its wooden saya and relaxed his position. "You sure bout this, you might not graduate if you do" The Proctor asked. Shin nodded his silent response before slowly falling forward, only to be caught by the proctor who disappeared as swiftly as he had come, Shin in hand.

Kenshi watched the girl who was quickly rushing forward at him with a shadow clone most likely intending to use that deadly fighting style the hyuuga are celebrated for to try and bring him down. Biting his lip kenshi has no choice but to actually take the hit and end this in one quick succession so to prepare kenshi forms a light layer of bone all around his torso and throws 2 exploding kunai at his feet expecting one of the two to come at him from the ground he could clearly see the one in the sky and so he jumped at her the kunai he just threw done exploding shortly after which sends him propelled higher into the air at the girl. Taking out a small blade from under his coat kenshi pulls back and slashes at the girl as she hits him at where is lung should be a cracking sound could be heard as kenshi's bone defense weakened from constant use and now failed him causing it to break and a rib or two to break as well causing great pain but at least saved him from the most extreme damage which would be the loss of an organ.

Hanako curses inwardly as what should have been a solid blow to the back smacks nothing but air. Launching herself backwards into the air away from the exploding kunai, she rolls on the vertical, coming back down on her feet facing the same way she jumped from. Forming a set of hand seals, she uses the last of her chakra left for jutsu. "Kaze Kyousha." She mutters as the three lances of wind form about her head and immediately launch at Kenshi's airborne, unprotected back. Meanwhile, the clone that Kenshi attacked poofs in so much smoke as the blade makes contact with it, making him look rather odd soaring through the air all by himself.

Kenshi soared through the air having just sliced away the clone his opponent had summoned and after his tags exploded kenshi spun around in the air to see if his prediction was right, and it was but he also saw something that was not good for him. His opponent had summonded up 3 wind lances which most likely meant she was using this as a desperate last attack. Pulling back kenshi formed his bone claws and tucked his knees up to his chest to reduce the chances of being hit. Unable to dodge all three kenshi decided to take the best route and minimize the damage. Seeing as the middle one was heading closest to him kenshi made sure that the other two would only cause cuts and nothing sever since the middle would do most of that itself. Feeling the other two past gave kenshi a feeling of relief from the air they brough along then pain since they ripped through the clothing on his arms and caused deep cuts to form. Bearing with the pain kenshi caught the middle one with his bone claws and let out a sound of pain as his broken ribs were pressured from holding it back. When the spear finally dispersed kenshi laughed some because that was about it. Retracting his bone claws kenshi said to the girl "That wasnt pleasent at all but i guess its about over." When kenshi landed he felt his chest tighten and his breaths became shorter causing him to stagger fot a moment, Damn must have been that other genin who slashed me i couldnt have run about this much already he thought to himself as he prepared for his attack. Rushing forward using what he could of his chakra that wasnt needed for his incoming jutsu to reduce the pain of his ribs kenshi got as a medium distance to the girl and took out his last 2 kunai with exploding tags that also had wires attached to them. Throwing them forward he didnt aim at the girl but around her since as soon as he did that kenshi ran forward again making handsigns so with the the last of his power said "Fireball jutsu" A large fireball would have sprouted from his mouth but since he was short of breath from that slash he took earlier a small-medium sized firball formed from his mouth then sprung forth and raced towards his enemy also setting the wires attached to the kunai on fire which raced towards the tags to that his fireball and the kunai would explode around the same time.

Taking deep, gasping breaths, Hanako glares daggers at Kenshi as he once again blocks her jutsu. Her gaze follows him as he drops to the ground, tossing a pair of kunai at her, followed by a fireball. The fireball looks weaker than it should, obviously hinting at the fact he was running short on chakra also. Smiling to herself, as she would have the upper hand if that was the case, she focused on the fireball streaking towards her. Reaching into the pouch on her leg, she whips out a kunai and chucks it at the approaching fireball in the same motion. Her hope is that it will connect with it, and cause it to explode prematurely, saving her from the brunt of the attack. It does, but not early as soon as she would have hoped. Crossing her arms in front of her face, she blow backwards from the explosion of the fireball and the tags combined, tumbling head over heels until she finally controls herself. As she gets shakily to her feet, the force of the explosion has blown her hair back off her face, exposing the scaring she received on that fateful night during her childhood. Her eyes hide the terror she experiences every time shes attacked by Kenshi's jutsu, but somehow she powers through it. Trying to get her breath to flow easier, she breathes heavily, wiping the sweat from her face from the constant exposure to fire. Having paused for long enough, she charges the cloaked ninja, her speed not diminished much due to her extensive physical training in practicing the Gentle Fist style. Once in range, she lets loose a flurry of blows, first one to the shoulder, then side. Not putting her style to good use, but causing the other ninja to exert his bloodline trying to block all the attacks. One last blow is aimed at the chest, hoping to do some serious damage.

Kenshi was surprised to say the least that little kunoichi was doing well she even took the full brunt of his weakened assault and was coming back at him with a redetermined assault but he could tell it must be a front what she was doing would only shorten her energy and since he still had chakra left he could take the less of the damage. Running up to him at great speed the kunoichi began her assault and he let her for the most part. Predicting hits to his torso thats where kenshi concentrated his bone armor even though it was slowly becoming weaker. A pop and a slight crack could be heard as she hit his right shoulder his elbow was dislocated the next hit caused pain and cracked his bone armor but no to much significant the next hit him straight in the chest causing damage to his ribs and knocking the wind out of him. Coughing under his robes while she landed the three hits kenshi took the dagger he had used earlier and timed it in between her first and second strike to swing down at her chest hoping to incapacitate her with this strike.

Before the Oni Genin and the Waterfall Genin could kill each other with these last desperate attacks, the proctor jumped into the middle of the battle, effectively breaking it up. "You've both done well, but it would be a shame if you were to kill each other before knowing if either of you graduated." The proctor then pointed towards a door out of the arena, heading towards the Hokage's office. "All who participated must head there to learn whether or not this they have passed this year."
