Fuuma CLan

Fuuma Clan:

The Fūma clan (風魔一族, Fūma Ichizoku) is a renowned ninja clan, famous in at least Amegakure and the Land of Fire. It is unknown where they hail from.

They are well-known as an aggressive clan and fight using their characteristic giant Fūma Shuriken; a large, four-bladed weapon said to possess pre-eminent sharpness. This type of shuriken has spread beyond the Fūma clan, though, as Sasuke Uchiha used one during his fight with Zabuza Momochi.

While traveling the world during his younger years, Jiraiya faced a member of this clan in battle. Although the outcome of this battle is unknown, Jiraiya did manage to give this Fūma member a scar on his forehead. Years later, Jiraiya faced this same ninja again. This time, the Fūma member had been made into one of Pain's bodies. The scar on his head allowed Jiraiya to recognize him and subsequently all of Pain's other bodies as well.

In the anime, another Fūma clan is featured. It is unknown whether the Fūma clan from the anime and the manga are the same, but it is unlikely, since the names are written differently and the clans' descriptions differ.

Fuuma attacks and traits:

Name: Fūma Shuriken (風魔手裏剣; Literally meaning "Demon Wind Shuriken")
A giant, four-bladed shuriken possessing pre-eminent sharpness and lethality. This type of shuriken is considered characteristic to the famous Fūma clan, after whom they were named and who possibly developed them. However, their use is not limited to this clan. Its four blade can be collapsed for easy storage, leading to its nickname Shadow Windmill (影風車, Kage Fūsha).

The Fuma clan (ふうま一族, Fūma Ichizoku) is a shinobi clan from the Land of the Rice Fields, where Orochimaru established the Land of Sound. The clan specialize in using chakra threads. Some of their most powerful members were tricked by Orochimaru, who promised to restore their clan status, and were used in his kinjutsu development experiments.

In the manga, another Fūma clan features. The manga's Fūma clan are the creators of the Fūma Shuriken and one of their members became a body of Pain. It is unknown whether the Fūma clan from the anime and the manga are the same, but it is unlikely, since the names are written differently and the clans' descriptions differ.
